InnovMetric Reports Record Sales of 3400 PolyWorks® Licenses for Fiscal Year 2017

QUEBEC CITY, May 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — InnovMetric Software Inc., the leading provider of universal 3D metrology software solutions, proudly announced today that worldwide demand for the PolyWorks universal 3D metrology software platform, in fiscal year 2017 (ending March 31, 2018), has led to all-time record sales of 3400 new licenses.

InnovMetric’s global sales revenue in Canadian dollars increased by 6.5% compared to the previous fiscal year, helped by a robust revenue growth of 13% in Europe. PolyWorks sales revenue growth exceeded 30% in six countries: Brazil, Mexico, France, Italy, Poland, and India.

Large industrial manufacturing organizations, as well as small and medium enterprises, have been prudent in their technology investments in several mature PolyWorks markets this year, due to economic uncertainties related to global trade. Nevertheless, we have kept up expanding our technical and sales presence worldwide, allowing us to reach this significant sales record. We’ve even gained market share in Europe, which is a direct consequence of the significant investments we’ve brought to our European business infrastructure in recent years. Together with our key European business partners, we now offer a comprehensive business ecosystem to support our European customers’ deployment of the PolyWorks universal platform, and this year’s results clearly show that our business strategy is in line with our customers’ needs,” said Marc Soucy, President of InnovMetric.

Cryptobontix Launches 5500 Crypto-Mining Rigs for Token Backing

NEW YORK, May 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Arbitrade Ltd. is happy to announce that it is rolling out with their long-awaited launch plans and starting to reveal their operational plans of the past couple years. Arbitrade will commence its mining operations with Hayden Gill from Coin Miner LLC as the company’s leading advisor and consultant. Mr. Gill has been in the cryptocurrency mining sector for many years and has become one of the leading advisors in North America.

Coin Miner LLC, a global leader in blockchain transaction processing (mining) infrastructure and hardware supply, has just completed a sale of another 5500 ASIC mining units to support Arbitrade’s first two tokens, Dignity (DIG on Livecoin.net) and Reciprocation (ECHO on Livecoin.net). This purchase of ASICs will continue to diversify the Arbitrade mining portfolio with Algorithms including SHA-256, Scrypt, Blake (14r) and Blake (2b). The units are expected to start deployment in about 2 weeks from 3 of the main cryptocurrency mining rig suppliers and finishing by mid-June in a top tier Atlanta collocation facility.

The Watford Ontario facility is still in the build out phase of the property and currently has 2300 mining rigs from Bitmain, Halong, and Canada Computers in inventory and waiting to be deployed once the electrical permits pass through the city building inspectors. After recent meetings with the Watford town council representatives and building inspectors, this process could require another 4 weeks before the mining rigs can be deployed and operating from the Arbitrade/Cryptotopic Industries Ontario property. For this reason, Mr. Gill advised Arbitrade to acquire additional data collocation facilities so that there is a way to immediately deploy vast numbers of mining rigs to start achieving the company’s end goal to have 65,000+ mining rigs online by year end.

Coin Miner has already been approved for finances and is working on procuring the next 15000 miners to support the next three tokens, Namaste (NAM), Orectic (ORE) and Honor (HNR). Hayden Gill has been quoted as saying, “As the lead mining consultant and advisor to the Arbitrade team I can confirm the mining project is ramping up to be one the most secure and innovative designs globally. Our state of the art designs effectively address heat dispersion, site security, energy efficiency and facility safety.  The commitment by the Arbitrade board to purchasing the needed hardware and building proper mining infrastructure will give Arbitrade a mining operation that can stand up against the top mining operators globally.”

The purpose of the mining operations has stayed close to the same program as originally set by the founders. The mining rigs earn daily amounts of cryptocurrency coins. A large portion of those coins are then sold and used in this way: 50% daily earnings are used to pay off bullion debt that backs tokens, 20% is to immediately purchase more mining rigs to deploy as soon as delivered (exponential growth), 15% is used to support the tokens in the market and 15% is used for speculation growth and operations of the mining sector of the company.

Jumio Named a Representative Vendor by Gartner in 2018 Market Guide for Identity Proofing and Corroboration

PALO ALTO, Calif., May 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Jumio, the leading AI-powered trusted identity as a service provider, today announces its inclusion as a Representative Vendor in the “Market Guide for Identity Proofing and Corroboration,” published by Gartner, a leading information technology research and advisory company.

According to the report, “Gartner has seen a growing interest in remote identity document verification solutions in the past 12 months whereby a passport, driver’s license or other form of identification is captured via scanner, webcam or mobile phone camera. It is then assessed for signs of tampering or counterfeit, and then the photo or video of the document is compared to a “selfie” (still photo or short video) taken by the individual submitting the document.”

“Jumio is honored to be included by Gartner as a Representative Vendor in the Market Guide for Identity Proofing and Corroboration,” said Jumio’s CEO Steve Stuut. “Thanks to recent well-publicized data breaches and emerging regulations such as GDPR, coupled with our own investments in machine learning and biometrics, we’ve experienced explosive growth over the last year.  We feel that the increased interest in identity proofing and corroboration solutions over the last year is further validation for this emerging category.”

The report stated that there are a few parts of [remote identity document verification solutions] that are important to understand, including:

  • Image quality matters
  • Document libraries feed algorithms
  • Liveness testing holds one of the keys
  • Customer experience is paramount

These elements were listed under the Document-Centric, Real-World Identity Corroboration section of the report.

Stuut added, “In our view, there’s a great deal of nuance that separates vendors in this space in terms of verification accuracy, fraud detection, and the user experience. Taking a hybrid, omni-channel approach that leverages artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, biometrics and human review equips Jumio with a unique ability to deliver on these objectives.

Smart Communications™ to Scale Support of its Solutions via the Amazon Web Services Infrastructure

AWS to Provide Additional Cloud Deployment Options to Current, Co-Located Data Centers

LONDON and NEW YORK, May 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Smart CommunicationsTM, the only independent company focused solely on enterprise customer conversations, today announced plans to support its SmartCOMMTM, SmartCORRTM for Salesforce, and SmartCaaSTM solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, in addition to its co-located data centers. This decision provides additional deployment flexibility to the company’s already available cloud and hybrid-cloud options.

“The selection of AWS supports our commitment to help our customers deliver the most meaningful customer conversations possible, while adhering to increasingly complicated global data privacy laws,” said Simon Tindal, CTO of Smart Communications. “It also supports our aggressive growth plans, by allowing us to efficiently extend our reach into other regions and giving our customers full flexibility.”

Worldwide spending on public cloud services and infrastructure is forecasted to reach $160 billion in 2018, which is an increase of 23.2% over 20171. Due to the growing stringency of international privacy and data protection laws, Smart Communications has experienced increased demand to support AWS across APAC and continental Europe and by customers in the U.S. and U.K. that have selected AWS as their cloud deployment model of choice.

AWS provides a reliable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud, with data center locations in the U.S., UK, Europe, Brazil, Singapore, Japan and Australia.  Smart Communications will leverage the full complement of the AWS Platform as a Service (PaaS) to provide high quality SaaS operations similar to the co-located data centers the company currently operates in the U.S. and U.K.

“AWS is a mature, scalable and secure globally-enabled environment,” added Tindal. “These factors ensure that the appropriate resources will always be available to meet customers’ fluctuating demands.”

Delivery on the AWS infrastructure will begin rollout to key customers and partners during the third quarter of 2018, with general availability in the fourth quarter.

Startup Qwyk enables Logistics providers to create their own Online Shipping Schedules

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands, May 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Logistics tech startup Qwyk announced the public launch of their QwykSchedules™ product. Qwyk’s products are designed to transform the way logistics companies interact with their customers.

QwykSchedules is a new product that aims to offer a digital solution for logistics companies who want to publish and market their services online. With QwykSchedules, subscribing companies can construct their own departure schedules by setting up routing rules.  They can either host it in the cloud through a fully customizable page on the Qwyk platform or integrate it into their site and TMS through APIs (Application Programming Interfaces or Web services.) Promising extremely low maintenance, Qwyk’s engine uses the routing rules to compile subscriber’s schedules once a customer searches and provides real-time data based on what their assigned providers offer.

“Having been involved in the logistics industry for over 10 years, both on the Business side and Technology side, I have seen first-hand the challenges companies face. One challenge specifically is in getting the often tens of thousands of services offered to be visible in a searchable way,” says Founder Martyn Verhaegen. “With the advent of the Digital Freight Forwarder, who have marketed themselves as an alternative on the premise that they can provide the visibility BCO’s and other parties are looking for, that their ‘traditional’ counterparts cannot. It is becoming increasingly important for logistics companies to fill these visibility gaps.”

“Together with rates and tracking data, we believe, services guide and schedule information form the cornerstones of supply chain visibility,” the Netherlands based innovator adds. “With QwykSchedules, we aim to offer logistics industry parties a low-maintenance, affordable, and reliable way to get their services and schedules online and searchable by their customers within hours.”

The online product, which has been in use by a number of subscribers, provides an easy-to-use interface in which subscribers can pick the Air, Ocean FCL and LCL providers they need and link them to a powerful routing guide which constructs end-to-end and multimodal trade lanes. Shippers and other parties can then use the subscriber’s dedicated front-end page to conveniently search through their schedules.

“The potential for QwykSchedules lies in the fact that this is a product that provides an output immediately consumable by subscriber’s customers. Traditional sailing schedule feeds generally leave it to their customers to transform the data they provide into something that is relevant and presentable while ingesting a lot of waste-data in the process. Along with the feeds, we also provide the software to do that transformation and immediately serve solutions to customers,” Martyn Verhaegen explains.

“Our objective is to have new subscribers set up with their schedules in hours, not days or weeks, handling use-cases from simple port-to-port services to complex multi-leg point-to-point moves, including configurable pre- and on-carriage schedules, across all modalities. End-to-end services are the industry’s end-game and the solution can scale to fit companies of any size, from local forwarders and NVO’s to global enterprises.”

About

Qwyk launched in early 2017 and was founded on the belief in automating and re-using existing data through intelligent transformations, to achieve related objectives and visibility and minimize costly human maintenance efforts. Qwyk’s products are able to be tailored to your branding and marketing requirements at moment’s notice. Meaning, although your customers may be using Qwyk’s technology, to them it will still feel like it is entirely yours.
