Help Extended For Flood-hit Provinces

(KPL) Phu Bia Mining Company presented on Thursday US$ 20,000 to Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Khampheng Saysompheng to be used as relief aid for flood victims in central and southern Laos.

The six provinces namely Khammuan, Savannakhet, Saravan, Xekong, Champassak and Attapeu were severely flooded between late August and early September. The flooding is the worst for the region in more than 40 years.

Earlier on the same day the Ministry of Public Works and Transport donated food items worth 10 million kip for flood victims in the central and southern Laos.
