Japan supports strengthening health facilities in Huaphan

(KPL) The government of Japan has provided grant assistance worth USD 409,658 to strengthen health centres and district hospitals and improve basic medical services in Huaphan province.

The grant contract was signed at the Embassy of Japan in Vientiane on 5 March 2020 between Mr. Takewaka Keizo, Ambassador of Japan to the Lao PDR, and Ms. Ogawa, Project Manager of Medecins du Monde Japon (MdM), a Japanese non-profit organisation that manages the project.

The grant will support the activities of the one-year project which aims to strengthen a mechanism to maintain and improve basic health care at primary health facilities in Huaphan.
