(KPL) The film ‘Dok Champa Baan’, co-produced by Lao and Chinese filmmakers premiered Thursday at Vientiane Centre, Vientiane.
The film, starred by a Chinese actor and Lao actress, highlights the friendship and cooperation between Laos and China.
The premiere was officiated by Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Bouangeun Saphouvong, Director of the Chinese Culture Centre Ding Xing, Lao and Chinese actors and actresses, and representatives of relevant offices.
Dok Champa Baan movie is a historic film, the first co production of Lao and Chinese filmmakers. It highlights the friendship and cooperation between Laos and China, said Vithoune Soundara, Director, Department of Cinema, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.
The film, also made on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Laos-China diplomatic relations, Visit Laos-China Year 2019, and the 70th anniversary of the People Republic of China, also features beautiful natural, historic and cultural tourist attractions.
It will be shown at Major Cineplex cinemas across the country. Proceeds from ticket sale and public contributions made during the film screening will be donated as relief aid for flood victims in central and southern provinces of Laos.
