Laos and China have launched a fast track lane to ensure socio-economic recovery and people exchange between the two countries amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control Somdy Douangdy signed an agreement specifying the procedure of the fast track lane on Nov 16.
The agreement states that individual and organizations eligible to use the fast track lane mechanism include diplomats or civil servants who wish to have an official trip to the other country for a short period of time.
Those diplomats traveling for long term assignment or for personal purposes will be treated with a special consideration.
Groups of people or legal entities, in the fields of trade, investment, transport, agriculture and technical services, for governmental projects or major projects important to both countries are also eligible for the fast track lane benefits.
