Laos Supports BRNN’s Efforts

(KPL) Belt and Road News Network BRNN- will become the bigger window to provide people around the world an easier access to rich sources of information.

The 1st Council Meeting of the Belt and Road News Network (BRNN) was held on April 23 in Beijing, China to discuss and finalize the 2019-2020 Belt and Road News Network Annual Work Plan.

More than 40 mainstream media organizations from 26 countries around the globe have also witnessed the inauguration of an online news platform related to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

I strongly support the draft of the Belt and Road News Network Annual Work Plan (2019-2020) which stipulates membership expansion, the holding of BRNN’s General Assembly, the Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road, the launching of Silk Road News Awards, improvement of interactive feature on the official website and mobile platform of BRNN, said Mr Thonglor Duangsavanh, Director General of Lao Press in Foreign Languages.

If BRNN members increase the exchange of information on current affairs, politics, economic and socio-cultural development issues, we will be able to create deeper understanding among member countries, said Mr Thonglor.
