Member of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee and Secretariat of the National Assembly Ms Souansavanh Viyaket announced on May 28 that the 5th Ordinary Session of National Assembly’s 8th legislature will be held from June 5-28, 2018.
At the upcoming 5th Ordinary Session of National Assembly, people’s representatives will be reported by government officials about the implementation of the social-economic development plan and state budget plan of the government over the past six months.
Planned measures to promote economic growth, small and medium enterprises, and domestic and foreign investment will also be reported at the meeting along with government efforts to address public debts, among others.
The meeting will also consider 13 draft laws including five new laws namely Laws on Vaccination, Residential and Occupational Allocation, Signs, Public Debt Management and War Veterans.
Draft amendments to 13 laws will be also proposed to the meeting for consideration including Law on Business Conflict Settlement, Law on Value Added Tax, Law on the Bank of the Lao PDR, Law on Social Security, Law on Family Registration, Law on Civil Aviation, Law on Military Officers of the Lao People’s Army and Law on Lao Front For National Development.
