President expresses condolences to R. Korea over Covid-19 outbreak

(KPL) President Bonnhang Vorachit has sent a message of condolences to his counterpart of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in over Covid-19 outbreak in the country.

The message dated 5 March 2020 read: I have closely followed with concern the current situation on the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Republic of Korea, which has severely affected the livelihood and caused the loss of lives of the Korean people.

On behalf of the Lao Government and people as well as on my own behalf, I would like to convey my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of the Republic of Korea, particularly to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones due to COVID-19.

I am strongly confident that under Your Excellency’s close guidance and the effective measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea will be able to contain the outbreak of the virus and restore the living condition of the Korean people to normalcy soon.
