Saravan warns people to store foods as the province will go into tough lockdown

The Saravan Provincial Administration Office issued a notice today urging people in the province to store food and other necessaries as it will place the southern province under tough lockdown in fight against Covid-19.

The severity of Covid-19 outbreak, especially of locally transmitted cases, in the province is currently showing an increasing trend, the provincial office stated in the notice signed today.

The notice also bans local sellers from hoarding goods or increasing goods prices and warns violators will face strict punishment.

It also instructs the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry to provide seeds and encourage more local people to engage in agricultural production during the lockdown.
