Special Advisor Susan Jacobs Travels to China and Republic of Korea

Special Advisor for Children’s Issues, Ambassador Susan Jacobs will visit China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) from May 8�12.

Special Advisor Jacobs will meet with government leaders and non-governmental organizations to discuss the Hague Abduction and Adoption Conventions. While in China, she will continue efforts to strengthen the partnership under the Adoption Convention and encourage China to join the Abduction Convention.

She will then travel to the ROK to discuss our partnership under the Abduction Convention and the status of the ROK joining the Adoption Convention. In both countries, she will also explore ways the United States can collaborate with the countries to better protect the interests of children.
