The Department of State will host an open house in Bemidji, Minnesota, on March 7, to accept public comments and provide information on the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (Draft SEIS) for the proposed Enbridge Line 67 oil pipeline expansion project.
The Department is reviewing an application submitted by Enbridge Energy, L.P. for a Presidential Permit that would, if issued, authorize Enbridge to supplement its existing pipeline authorization and increase the flow of crude oil through its existing Line 67 pipeline that crosses the United States-Canada border near Neche, North Dakota.
The Draft SEIS analyzes the potential impacts of the proposed project. It does not make any recommendations on whether the Presidential Permit should be issued or denied.
The open house will be held at the Sanford Center, 1111 Event Center Drive NE, Bemidji, Minnesota, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
