(KPL) The Quiet House, 2nd Edition, starred by Lao, Thai and Japanese artists was shown at the French Institute in Vientiane Capital last Saturday night, Nov 16.
The Quiet House tells a story of a disaster where a member of family died, one was abducted. They were freezing cold. The crabs were finding new houses. They were mute. Someone died, they are quiet. Many people died.
The performance has been designed through the collaboration between Teerawat Mulvilai, B_Floor Theater (Thailand), and Yuko Kawamoto and Sihinomebutoh (Japan).
Once the first edition of The Quiet House was launched in 2016 on the sidelines of the 11th International Butoh Festival in Bangkok we received really good feedbacks from audience and critics, said Mr Teerawat Mulvilai.
This is the first time that I have an opportunity to work with famous producers and artists from Thailand and Japan in Vientiane, said Mr Anousa Photisan.
The Saturday show was enjoyed by French Ambassador to Laos Florence Jeanblanc-Risler, Vice-President of Lao Journalists Association Somsanouk Mixay, and representatives from Thai Embassy in Laos, Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Thailand, and Laobangfai.
