Youth’s caravan traces a trail to revolutionary strongholds in southern Laos

The youth of the ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism launched on Feb 24 a car caravan heading to 4 revolutionary strongholds in southern Laos namely Champassak, Saravan, Xekong and Attapeu.

Youth organizations under the ministry who represent the youth organizations across the country led by Secretary of Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union Executive Committee Alounxay Sounnalath laid a flower bucket at Kaysone Phomvihane Memorial before beginning their trip to southern Laos.

The caravan aims to create welcome sentiment for historic Party and national days including the 65th anniversary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the 65th anniversary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Committee.

The activity aims to provide opportunity to the youth to learn about the history, movements of the Party, government, and leaders during the cause of national liberation, and culture and lifestyle of the youth and lesson exchange on promoting the contribution of youth to national development.

The youth organizations from other ministries, provinces, and businesses have also made donation in kind worth 100 million kip and 40 million kip in cash to promote youth-related development activities in the four southern provinces.
